Episode 33: My 3 part process for end-of-year reflection and goal-setting as a family photographer

I'm Leah!

I’m obsessed with stories of family, creativity, and simple joys.  A nostalgia nerd, educator, wife, and mom of 3, I believe life’s most fun when you’re dreaming big and having kitchen dance parties.

Highlighted family and newborn photography sessions

It’s time to start winding down your business from 2024 and whew, that’s an exciting time right? But before you can move onto goal-setting and projects, this last month of the year is a beautiful time to take the pulse of your business. It’s the imperative FIRST STEP to any kind of planning for the future. In this episode, I’m sharing my process of holding an end-of-year meeting with myself for reflection and goal setting as a family photographer.

I’ll take you behind the scenes of that process, the agenda, the questions i ask, and the metrics I tackle – so if you’ve never done this before you have a place to start and if you have you may find that you can pull some ideas from this to add in or tweak your current process.

Making time for this process of reflection and study of what the heck actually happened this year in your business – and it can also be really fun, too!

Hi, I'm Leah.
Family photographer, writer, educator.

I’m  one of the first to meet your newborn baby, the one who won't judge your clothes baskets and unmade beds, and the one who can capture the way your husband looks at you with a twinkle in his eye after 12 years of marriage. I believe in honoring people and telling stories.

I believe art has the power to light up the world in dark places, starting at home.
