This cozy newborn session at home took place as snow flurried outside and the grey dreariness wrapped the home in clouds.
We were confined to the windows in the front two rooms of the house and the narrow nook of their entry with the front door open. It whipped snowflakes on my back as they huddled and I pulled enough light from behind the clouds. Regardless of the added challenges, the family laughed through the cuddles and occasional sniffs from their curious dogs.
Low-light newborn sessions create a richness in tone between warm light and fall-off from shadow that lends to the coziest tones. This session feels like a hug and a tickle at the same time, and correct me if I’m wrong, but I think that’s a combo any family would long to hold close.
