Letter 169Charlottesville, VA
Count on me.
September 9, 2026

I am a criminal. Guilty of crimes such as forgetting to get the right kind of peanut butter from the grocery store and not switching the laundry over to the dryer for 12 hours.
If these are deal breakers for our relationship…so sorry, best wishes.

Otherwise, I'm relatively dependable. I'd say, even, that I aim to be loyal. And while consistency is not my best personality trait (gemini, hi) you can count on me to:
sit in the sunniest beam to write or read, like a plant leaning towards the light // wake up early seem like an overachiever, but really I just love mornings that much // ask for your stories and listen intently. // not text you back right away (it's nothing personal) // feed your kids if they’re anywhere near my house during a snack or meal time // encourage you to make yourself at home // turn on music when the mood is low // know every line of Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventures // want to go for a walk - always yes // write a handwritten note // make the world’s most perfect s’more // belt The Greatest Showman soundtrack // drink coffee black, margarita with salt // make soup on the first day it’s below 60 degrees // not follow the recipe exactly // tell it to you straight // notice gestures, looks, moments, and mannerisms // romanticize the ordinary // make pictures that make you love deeper.

You can count on my to be in your inbox every Wednesday night, too and here I am.
If you schedule a session with me, you can count on me to show up with a full heart to see you for who you are - no strings or expectations attached.
Wouldn't that be something?

The Narrative Session
I also still have one spot left for a session in Durham, NC on Sept 20th and one opening in NOVA on Oct 24th. Is it yours?

If you too are a Greatest Showman gal, get your tissues for this one. Vulnerability comes from breaking down walls, but when we do, oh the art that spills forward.
This except it's family photo sessions. 😂 This isn't actually true for me - I'm actually very proud of the balance in my schedule between still enjoying the season with my family, personal rest, and working my butt off because yea, it's a great time for making family photos, let's not kid.
READING // Finished Very Good Copy - definitely one I'll return to. One my nightstand now - How to Stop Time by Matt Haig. I was worried it would be too much like Midnight Library (which is one of my favorite books) but it came recommened by a friend and so far, I'm loving the way it twists the human perspective across generations. Very up my alley.
BAKE // Still not doing much baking in my glass house but somehow these banana chocolate chip muffins have come together twice in the last month and been devoured each time.
